A. Perfect happiness is a cup of Jamaican Me Crazy coffee and a good book, both enjoyed on the balcony of a cabin in the Smoky Mountains in spring. Actually, just give me the Smoky Mountains in spring, and I’m good! |

Q. What is your greatest fear?
A. Not being able to write Q. Which historical figure do you most identify with? A. Aphra Behn, one of the first English professional writers. I have not had nearly the exploits she had, but she blazed the trail for other writers and spoke her mind. A lot. As do I. (NOTE: A 17th-century spy-turned-writer, Behn is one of the first women to make a living by writing well and is credited with penning the first English philosophical novel. Labeled vulgar by some for her frank portrayals of sex, Behn is credited by Virginia Woolf as being the woman who “earned women the right to speak their minds.” Q. Which living person do you most admire? A. Jimmy Carter, for doing so much good with Habitat for Humanity, and Johnny Depp, for taking chances in his career, regardless of the consequences. Q.
